SMARTING is the first fully portable, smartphone-enabled EEG system developed by mBrainTrain. This lightweight EEG device allows real-time monitoring of brain activity via a mobile app, enabling high-quality electroencephalographic recordings outside the laboratory and in everyday life. Whether paired with a PC or a smartphone, SMARTING delivers highly accurate data quality.

High-precision wireless triggering via UDP and the LSL protocol eliminates the need for hardware triggering.
Latency and jitter values obtained via the wireless protocol are less than 2 milliseconds (depending on the stimulus delivery software), confirming that hard-wired stimulus delivery is unnecessary.
The figure below shows consistent ERPs across different trials (amplitudes are color-coded, with 200 trials aligned on the Y-axis), thereby demonstrating millisecond-level recording precision.

In addition to full mobility, the SMARTING Android application also maintains high signal quality and synchronization.
It supports signal recording and visualization, as well as the manual insertion of precise trigger information and event markers.
